Vision and Mission

The Student Coalition for Asian Pacific Empowerment’s (SCAPE) vision is to build relationships within the USC and greater Los Angeles community by being a resource that aims to:

  • Raise awareness and enable students to act on social issues affecting APA’s and API’s
  • Amplify the voices of marginalized peoples
  • Provide a brave space; encouraging students to participate in a space free of judgement, filled with positive intent, tactful language, and empathetic connections with one another.
  • Empower, energize, and mobilize SCAPE members to become catalysts for positive social change

The Student Coalition for Asian Pacific Empowerment (SCAPE) strives to achieve this vision through providing a progressive and supportive space that energizes USC students and community members to engage in issues affecting Los Angeles APA and API communities. To do this, SCAPE will facilitate workshops, build relationships with other organizations on and off campus, and visibly respond to current social issues facing minorities.
